terrible album - I didn t like this album at all and Keith Murray tried to go mainstream and pop on this album. This album is trash. LOL@Candy Bar song hahahaha.
Yeah it s trying to be commercial BUT... - it s a great album anyways, its better than for instance REACT with Erick Sermon where the similaritys is obvious... I m telling you it s good: what more can I say?
Effort is there but???? - I m not getting anymore Keith Murray albums I like this for Yeah Yeah u know It and Chocolate Candy Bar but that is 2 out of like 17 tracks C mon Keith did it sound good to you when you was recording it?
Pray for Keith - This is not a typical Keith Murray Album. He is obviously trying to make a commercial friendly album with as many radio cuts as possible. It s not what I want out of Keith Murray album but it s easy for me to talk cuz I m not Keith. Keith has three successful Albums out and he is still broke. He s got attorney fees, and a bad reputation in the industry. I don t blame him for trying this kind of Album. People have to eat. Pray for Keith that he can find that happy medium between artistic integrity and financial success.
Barely 4 stars for his 4th solo - If you want some classic Keith (one of the tightest lyricists ever) check his early works from the mid 90 s period. This album is pretty good, but nothing compard to his old ones (thanks Def Jam). He does still spit them great off the wall lyrics that made him famous and he still is in my list of one of the top MCs ever. The booklet in the CD has all th elyrics on it as well. Only 12 songs, and 17 tracks (5 skits by Jamie Foxx) 2 are almost classic Keith, 4-6 are ok and the others are good, but not great. Production isn t the greatest for him on this one. Erick Sermon does 4 (1 with Pete Rock), Ruggedness, Quran Goodman, Just Blaze, Khalil, Clark Kent, Jazze Pha, Tone & Poke, Omen all do 1. Guests rap on 3 songs, and are on a good amount of the hooks. A good album for his fans but his early work is better.#2 - 9.5 (f/ Joe Hooker - tied for best one on here)#3 - 8 (f/ Jessica Rivera)#4 - 7.5 (f/ Redman & Erick Sermon, Jessica Rivera)#6 - 8 (f/ Patti Austin -- funny song)#7 - 8 (deep song about his sister --- f/ the Group)#9 - 7.5#10 - 7 (f/ Redman)#11 - 8#13 - 7#14 - 9.5 (great song & beat -- f/ Busta Rhymes & Kell Vicious)#16 - 8.5#17 - 7.5 (f/ Sonji Mae)check all my reviews
